The original Charging Bull sculpture was sculpted by Italian artist Arturo Di Modica in 1989 and placed on Wall Street, home to the New York Stock Exchange as well as the historic headquarters of some of the country’s top brokerages and investment banks.
It was intended to represent the stock market’s aggressive financial optimism and prosperity.
Following the original’s success, the artist was commissioned to make other versions of the bull. Every single one was sold to individual collectors all over the world.
